Our client, a leading UK-based commercial property management company, are seeking an experienced Account Manager to support the Head of Energy and Water ensuring KPIs and SLAs agreements are met.  You will help deliver and implement energy and water strategy, while monitor the rates and performance of energy companies. In addition, you will support projects to help streamline invoicing procedures and to minimise the risk of excessive debt.

The ideal candidate will have experience in end-to-end account management processes, including billing, metering, managing data flows and handling complex queries. You will be analytical with experience in procurement, with the ability to build strong relationships and looking for career development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Building and maintaining close professional relationships with clients, tenants and colleagues
  • Deliver communication between Accounts Payable, Property Managers, clients and suppliers 
  • Deliver and implement the energy and water strategy
  • Monitor the rates and performance of energy suppliers.
  • Support projects to streamline invoicing procedures and to minimis the risk of excessive debt.
  • Support with procurement, pricing and tendering new contracts.
  • Oversee AMR rollouts, change of tenancy and meter installations and disconnections. 
  • Manage all data flows including rejections and objections.
  • Work with Property Accounts teams, TPIs and Suppliers to meet SLA’s and KPIs.
  • Assist with compliance reporting for SECR, GHG, GRESB, and ESOS.

Key skills and experience required:

  • Previous experience working for a utility supplier, broker or consultancy.
  • Account management experience around Gas and Electricity processes - water desirable.
  • Market knowledge - contract terms, COT procedures, MOPs and DA/DCs.
  • Analytical with attention to detail skills
  • Ability to deliver reports and interpret data and calculations. 
  • Effective verbal and written skills for client and team interactions. 
  • Excellent relationship building skills with external and internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to solve problems, complex issues and overcome objections.
