Role Responsibilities
  • Managing a portfolio of clients, ensuring deadlines are met and their needs are understood
  • Building and maintaining client relationships, including regular meetings and identifying tax planning opportunities
  • Conducting new client meetings and helping clients grow their businesses
  • Leading a team of bookkeepers and accountants, ensuring accounts and tax returns are produced accurately and on time
  • Planning, delegating, and reviewing work produced by junior team members
  • Preparing complex Limited Company accounts, as well as Corporation Tax, Partnership Tax, and Personal Tax returns
  • Preparing monthly and/or quarterly management accounts, including variance analysis
  • Checking VAT returns prepared by junior staff and offering guidance and support where needed

Candidate Requirements
  • ACA or ACCA qualified with extensive experience in practice
  • Strong experience managing client relationships and providing exceptional service
  • Broad experience in dealing with Limited Companies, as well as Sole Traders and Partnerships
  • A solid understanding of statutory accounts production, tax returns, VAT, and tax planning
  • Experience working with accounting and bookkeeping software such as Freeagent, Xero, Sage 50, and IRIS
  • Great communication skills with the ability to work well in a team and with clients at all levels
