L3Harris MAPPS (Bristol, Burgess Hill and Barrow-in-Furness) provides an Integrated Platform Management System (IPMS) for the Royal Navy sub-surface and surface fleets, notably current Astute submarine and Queen Elizabeth Class (QEC) aircraft carriers, in-build Type 26 and Type 31 frigates. This software provides integrated monitoring and control of ship propulsion, electrical functions, auxiliaries and damage control machinery and systems.

What the role will involve

The responsibilities of your role will include the following:

  • Generate financial reporting packages and provide counsel to program managers on variances
  • Baseline development and maintenance, performance management and estimate at complete development and analysis
  • Implement, monitor, report and analyse program budget and/or schedule
  • Perform earned value management including implementation, maintenance, reporting and analysis
  • Organise cost and/or schedule date for monthly program reviews
  • Prepare and monitor funding plans labour and subcontract/material/ODC forecast plans
  • Complete analyse date for monthly forecast review including orders, sales, operating income and cash
  • Prepare ETC/EAC estimates from program staff input
  • Participate in presentations and group discussions at internal and external financial / schedule meetings
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with the organisation to maintain a positive and productive work environment
  • Perform other duties as required

What you’ll bring

The role of Finance Business Partner requires the following experience and skills:

  • Be minimum part-qualified
  • Have previous experience in programme finance
  • Hold previous Finance Business Partnering experience
  • Be comfortable presenting to all levels within the business
  • Have advanced MS Office Suite skills including Excel Modelling
  • Have a proactive approach to problem solving
