Edward Mann are currently recruiting for a Maternity Cover (12/13 month FTC) Management Accountant / Finance Manager on behalf of a FMCG based in Bristol.

Our client is able to offer hybrid working of 3 days per week in the office and 2 days from home.

Key Responsibilities:

Daily Tasks

  • Download and process transactions in Sage.
  • Manage bank feeds and reconcile bank accounts in Sage.
  • Import and reconcile i-Zettle transactions in Sage and Excel.
  • Maintain and update the bank reconciliation and cash flow spreadsheets.

Weekly Tasks

  • Import sales data from Deliveroo, Uber, Just Eat, and Orderswift into Sage (including VAT adjustments).
  • Conduct cash reconciliations, comparing ABI data against Sage records.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies with AM accounts.
  • Input invoices received via paper and email.
  • Update and maintain the cost of sales spreadsheet, including adjustments for cost increases and monthly figures from suppliers.
  • Send petty cash data for reconciliation and chase missing receipts or claims.
  • Process weekly payments for Bako and Propertea.
  • Manage invoices and gather financial data from specific clients or stores.

Monthly Tasks

  • Process and pay monthly rents.
  • Handle supplier payments.
  • Pay CSA/attachments and HMRC.
  • Prepare for stock takes, including creating and printing relevant reports.
  • Verify posted invoices against statements.
  • Record transactions for AIRPLUS statements and interest on reserve accounts.
  • Process VAT recovery and VAT scale charge journals.
  • Prepare accruals, prepayments, and stock take adjustment journals.
  • Generate gross margin figures, cap-ex details, and departmental P&Ls.
  • Record depreciation for MI purposes.

Random/Ad Hoc Tasks

  • Complete ONS surveys when requested.
  • Update rates and water direct debit entries in Sage and spreadsheets.
  • Handle valuation office tasks as they arise.
