Reed Finance are exclusively partnering with a small Manufacturing business based in Bristol recruiting for a part time Finance Director.

Job Title: PT Finance Director (3 days a week)

Salary: £100,000 FTE

Role Purpose: The Finance Director will lead all financial operations, ensuring financial integrity, robust controls, and strategic alignment with business goals. This role demands a strong understanding of manufacturing finance, cost management, and commercial insight to drive operational efficiency and profitability. The ideal candidate will come from a commercially focused manufacturing finance background.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Act as a strategic partner to the executive team, contributing financial insight to drive business growth.
  • Attend board meetings and ensure the business meets or exceeds budgeted revenue, profit, and net return.
  • Develop and monitor KPIs aligned with business objectives.
  • Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
  • Evaluate and support pricing strategies, cost management, and procurement efficiency.
  • Drive continuous improvement in financial processes.
  • Manage financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Maintain tight control over cash flow and manage working capital requirements.
  • Oversee cost accounting and margin analysis.
  • Ensure the company’s financial systems provide accurate, timely, and insightful management information.
  • Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Qualified accountant with strong leadership skills.
  • Experience in manufacturing finance and ERP systems.
  • Excellent communication and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Proficient Excel skills.
