Salary: £55k -£60k

Hours: Full Time/Part Time (minimum 4 days)
Our Client
Our client is a leading place-based impact investor based in central Bristol.
They are looking for a confident and ambitious Portfolio Manager with excellent knowledge of appraising different business models to come and join their small team.
Portfolio Manager - The Role
You will be responsible for developing, evaluating and managing investment opportunities to drive social change in the local community. You’ll also need to be an effective communicator and people-person as you will be interacting with a wide variety of stakeholders including investees, board members, commercial lenders, and investors.
As Portfolio Manager your responsibilities will include:
- Developing financial models to create scenario analysis for existing investments;
- Monitor financial performance, repayments and recoveries across the investment portfolio;
- Support Investment Managers to ensure individual investments are achieving financial and impact targets;
- Reporting key performance information to Investment Committees;
- Critically appraising potential investments having regard to assumptions and associated risks;
- Support completion of transactions through due diligence and related credit analysis;
- Assisting Finance Director with borrowing arrangements and treasury;
- Assist with business plans, management accounts, budgets and cashflow forecasts.
The Successful Applicant
As Portfolio Manager you will be a qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) with experience in audit, corporate finance, business partnering or FP&A.
You will be motivated to succeed in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and both eager and determined to solve problems in the face of competing challenges.

- Ability to assess investment opportunities, including risk and return measures;
- Property experience desirable;
- A passion for improving social, environmental, and economic development;
- Excellent understanding of P&L’s, cash flows and different business models;
- Ability to multitask and manage deadlines;
- Excellent communication and report writing skills;
- Strong analytical skills with ability to identify opportunities and risks;
- Self-starter with can do attitude who thrives in an entrepreneurial environment;
- SME or corporate finance experience desirable;
- Well organised and excellent attention to detail.
