RT Consulting, a Silver ERS armed forces covenant management consultancy is a trusted partner to the UK Defence sector, committed to delivering excellence through skilled personnel and transformative solutions. We specialise in resourcing and deploying Suitably Qualified and Experienced Personnel (SQEP) to meet the dynamic needs of Defence and public service projects.
We are now seeking a highly experienced Defence Resource Lead to join our team and play a pivotal role in shaping our consulting talent pipeline, with a focus on the Defence sector.
Your role will involve the coordination of activities aimed at ensuring relevant SQEP are available for deployment on current and upcoming projects. You will help maintain databases, track candidate availability, and support the preparation and deployment process to ensure the timely and high-quality service delivery of personnel to meet project demands.
This role will give you exposure to the resourcing lifecycle and the Defence sector while allowing you to build strong connections within the Service Leaver community. You will play an important part in helping RT Consulting maintain its high standard of service delivery.
You will work closely with our Resourcing and Delivery teams to build a robust network of permanent and associate consultants, aligned with our strategic growth plans.

Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting Recruitment Campaigns: Assisting in creating and executing campaigns aimed at attracting new consultants within the Defence sector, ensuring consistency with the business’s needs.
- Candidate Engagement, helping identify and engage with potential and existing consultants, maintaining communication and managing candidate expectations in line with project requirements.
- Event Support, assist in organising and attending Defence networking events and career fairs, representing the business and helping to source talent.
- Project Coordination, work alongside the wider team to support the delivery of high-quality services across all projects, ensuring timely and efficient deployment of consultants.
- Compliance and CRM Management, ensure all candidate information is accurately recorded in the CRM and that resourcing activities comply with relevant regulatory requirements.
Skills & Experience:
- Knowledge of Defence Resourcing, familiarity with recruitment or resourcing within the Defence sector, with an understanding of its unique needs and trends.
- Experience in Defence/MOD/Government: experience working within the MOD, either as a serving member of the armed forces or in a civilian capacity, is beneficial but not essential.
- Organisational Skills, strong ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that all administrative and operational aspects of resourcing are handled efficiently.
- Military Hierarchy Familiarity, basic understanding of military structures (e.g., ranks, services, trade groups) to better support recruitment efforts in line with Defence-specific roles.
- Presentation and Communication Skills, comfortable assisting with presentations and engaging with both internal teams and external stakeholders as required.
- Attention to Detail, capable of managing documentation and ensuring all data is up-to-date, particularly within the CRM system.
