Requirements

Duties include:

  • The senior appointed person will also hold the responsibility for being the appointed NICEIC qualified supervisor within the region.
  • The senior appointed person will be responsible for the implementation of the project test packs.
  • Monitoring and sample QA testing of installation works to ensure compliance with NICEIC requirements.
  • Will provide support and input into the development of the sites safe systems of work, and particularly the three key stage electrical safety reviews.
  • Will attend site monthly to undertake a review of the site to undertake audits to ensure the electrical safety team are compliant with the code of practice for safe works on low voltage electrical systems, from project commencement. The SAP will complete two documents; SMSF 214j code of practice for safe working on low voltage electrical systems audit & SMSF 214m SAP compliance audit document, which both must also be copied to the electrical code of practice administrator & health & safety manager.
  • Responsible for ensuring all test equipment within the region is maintained fit for purpose and within calibration.
  • Responsible for reviewing new test equipment & electrical safety devices for potential future use by testers.
  • When requested will also provide support in the initial appointment of appointed persons and testers.
