Key Tasks
- Working closely with the prospective customer to understand the underlying requirement, decision criteria and the most appropriate solution from the range of SCG products and services.
- Demonstrate a developed business acumen, the ability to pro-actively self-generate sales opportunities through outbound sales/marketing activity, sales strategies and entrepreneurial initiative.
- Accurately record and maintain records of all sales activity through the designated business systems.
- Work to achieve, and exceed, your monthly target and contribute towards team/business unit target.
- Primarily target the acquisition of new customers (New Logo) and the cross sell/upsell opportunities into existing relationships.
- Carefully map the SCG Sales Process and ensure thorough and professional engagement with each opportunity. The Sales Process is covered in the SCG Sales Academy and managed through automated systems including Hubspot.
- Be able to professionally articulate the financial, operational and technical benefits of each sale, negotiate contract awards, providing detailed analysis of the reasons for each contract award and/or loss to feed back to the Sales Director and our Continual Improvement Plan.
- Deliver accurate forecasting to the business to support the appropriate resource planning and business information.
- Embrace opportunities to drive further sales success, working in conjunction with our Marketing Team, Lead Generation Team and the wider Sales Orientated Community.
- Strive to continually deliver successful sales performance sharing repeatable practices for the wider business success.
