People & Business Administrator

Bristol ( 1 day a week in office)

£24.5k - 28k p.a

Our client, a growing fintech company has an exciting opportunity for a People & Business Administrator to join their amazing team.

The role:

  • Assist the People Advisor to keep accurate and up-to-date employee records in our People systems and Employee Files, ensuring compliance with GDPR and other regulations.
  • Support the People Advisor on managing our People System and complete any relevant tasks e.g. following up on self-certifications right to work forms, awarding badges etc.
  • Creation and management of letters: Probation, changes in terms & conditions of employment and other relevant documentation.
  • Onboarding: Organise and deliver smooth onboarding experiences for new hires, including paperwork, right to work and reference checks, induction schedules, new starter packs and follow-ups.
  • People Policies and Procedures: Support the maintenance and communication of people policies and procedures to employees and managers.
  • First-line Employee Support: Be the first point of contact for employee queries escalating complex issues to the People Advisor when needed.
  • People Projects: Support the People Team in delivering team initiatives such as well-being programs, engagement surveys, and training plans.
  • Compliance Monitoring: Ensure right-to-work checks and other compliance documentation are completed and up to date.
  • Recruitment Support: Assist hiring managers with job postings, scheduling interviews, and coordinating candidate communications (as required).
  • Ad hoc HR administration & tasks

Key skills/ experience:

  • Experience with HR technology and systems or similar
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing and demanding environment
  • High output of work with fantastic attention to detail
  • Critical thinker who can solve problems quickly
  • Take initiative in handling projects and anticipating needs
  • Manage sensitive and confidential information with the utmost discretion
  • Experience with Google Workspace preferable
