Teacher of sport and protective services required full time
Zen Educate are looking for a teacher to take on a full time contract with the option to go permanent at a sixth form college in Bristol starting ideally as soon as possible or in the new year. This would be teaching in sport and protective services at BTEC level (2 or 3). Experience in this subject is required or in a similar subject that would transfer well. The role is Monday to Friday and term time only.
The college caters to 1700 students doing further education courses including A levels, BTEC as well as GCSEs. The school which is based in East Bristol is easy reach of public transport and has ample parking for anyone that has access to a car as well as being near a park and ride.
Requirements;
- UK QTS
- Experience in teaching secondary ages and has good classroom management as well as able to deliver ideas and theory in line with the subject material that all students of variabe attainment levels can access.
- Experience in sport and protective services, or a similarsubject such as PE but looking to do more teaching with older students
- Can inspire and drive passion in the subject that students will already have and push them to excel in what will likely be a chosen career
- Work well within the school team and collaborate with any that are within a shared department
- Enhanced DBS on the update service, either one you already hold or as part of your application
