Join a small secondary school in Keynsham that is embarking on an exciting period of transformation. We are seeking a dynamic Associate Assistant Principal in Maths, ideally a current Head of Maths or a strong 2iC Maths, who is ready to embrace a significant challenge. This role offers the unique opportunity to build personal relationships with each student and play a pivotal role in the school’s journey of improvement and success.
Day-to-day of the role:- Lead the Maths department, setting high standards and ensuring continuous improvement in teaching and learning.
- Develop and implement innovative strategies to enhance student engagement and achievement in Maths.
- Work closely with the Executive Principal and Principal to drive school-wide improvements.
- Build strong relationships with students, understanding their individual needs, especially focusing on PP students and those with SEND.
- Collaborate with staff across the school to foster a cohesive and supportive environment.
- Manage the challenges of working in a school in a deprived area, turning potential obstacles into opportunities for growth.
- Current or previous experience as a Head of Maths or a strong 2iC Maths.
- Proven track record of leading and improving a Maths department.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
