Senior Safety Engineer

Paying up to 55,000 (DOE)

Responsibilities:

Production and maintenance of Safety Reports and Plans: e.g. Safety Case Reports and Safety Management Plans.
Experience in carrying out Hazard Identification and Hazard Analysis.
Safety assessment and management experience working on UK Submarine programs either within the SDA or supporting the design and manufacturing activities of UK submarines.
Nuclear Safety Design Justification (NSDJ) and Design Safety Justification Plans (DSJP).
WOME & Strategic Weapons Systems safety assessments.
Legislation Compliance Assessments and Statements.
Hazard Log Management including eCassandra.
Experience working on complex systems.
Experience working with DE&S and following the ASEMS process.

Experience required:

Ideally, be degree-qualified in an Engineering discipline.
Ideally, be a Chartered Engineer (CEng) or equivalent experience.
Familiarity with ARP4754A, or DO178C/DO254 and ARP4761.
Understanding of safety assurance of software and/or complex hardware.
Understanding/experience working with DEF STAN 07-85.
Experience with Failure Modes, Effects (and Criticality) Analysis.
Knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering.
Experience in carrying out Fault Tree Analysis (e.g. Isograph Reliability Workbench).
