Sonic Summary

The Land Safety Consultant position is available at an industry-leading Aerospace and Defence company, focusing on managing systems safety within the land domain.
This hybrid role requires the consultant to work two days a week on-site, with base locations in Bristol, London, Manchester, Glasgow, Birmingham, or Aldershot.
The salary for this position is up to £50,000, and candidates must possess SC clearance.
Applicants should have experience in the Defence market, including safety management projects and technical analysis of designs and processes.
Candidates are expected to have knowledge of safety standards, experience generating Safety Assessment Reports, and ideally be professionally registered at IEng or working towards it.

What will the Land Safety Consultant be doing?

We are looking for consultants with a strong background in the Defence market to offer expertise and direction in the delivery safety management projects. An ideal candidate would have experience providing technical analysis of designs and processes to develop safety strategies.

Your responsibilities will include:

Understanding and interpretation of safety and engineering risks.
Managing safety artefacts including safety management plans, hazard logs and safety case reports at platform or at system level.
Delivering safety, technical evaluation, and certification artefacts

We need the Land Safety Consultant to have the following…

Understanding and application of safety standards such as Defence Standard 00-056
Experience generating Safety Assessment Reports, developing proposals, and providing technical assurance.
Knowledge and awareness of other Defence safety disciplines (Ordnance, Munitions and Explosives for example).
Working knowledge of safety regulations including Defence Safety Authority suite.
Professionally registered at IEng or working towards it.
