Twenty4Seven Educationis seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and enthusiastic SENTeaching Assistant to support children with diverse learning needs in a mainstream school setting. This is a part-time position, offering a unique opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of young learners.

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher and the Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) to provide tailored support to children with varying abilities, ensuring they have access to the curriculum and a positive educational experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 or small group support for students with special educational needs, including those with autism, dyslexia, and other learning difficulties.

  • Assist in the development and implementation of individualized learning plans (IEPs).

  • Help students engage with class activities and ensure they feel included and supported.

  • Support children in both academic and social development, fostering independence and confidence.

  • Adapt resources and tasks to meet the specific needs of students.

  • Assist with behavioral management and create a positive, encouraging learning environment.

  • Work closely with teachers and other staff to track progress and contribute to reports and assessments.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience working with children with Special Educational Needs is highly desirable.

  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to build positive relationships with children.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

  • A proactive approach to supporting students' development and well-being.

  • Relevant qualifications such as a Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) are an advantage.

  • Enhanced DBS check or willingness to undergo one.
