CAD Support Specialist

A global leading organisation that operate on highly regulated & sensitive industrial sites in the nuclear sector is seeking an experienced CAD Support Specialist to join their team in Bristol.
This role involves supporting CAD engineering tools, including AVEVA ENGINEERING, E3D & DRAW, PDMS & DRAFT, and DIAGRAMS, as part of IMS tasks for EDF EPR Engineering UK. The position focuses on file and script management, configuration, and ongoing support for engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities: CAD Support Specialist
- Provide primary user support for AVEVA Engineering activities, including bug resolutions, modifications, and catalogue requests.
- Coordinate CAD activities, handling new requests and resolving technical issues for a wide range of CAD tools.
- Define, propose, and track action plans and roadmaps for CAD support.
- Maintain regular contact with EDF EPR Engineering UK, CAD teams in France, and local IT support teams.
- Develop macros and tools to streamline engineering processes.
- Deliver training sessions to end-users when necessary.
Key Requirements: CAD Support Specialist
- Solid understanding of AVEVA CAD software or similar CAD platforms.
- Strong coding experience, particularly with Python, to create scripts that automate and streamline daily tasks.
- Degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency in coding languages such as PowerShell, Python, and PML.
- Strong IT skills, particularly with Windows and IT technologies.
- Familiarity with scripting languages and web technologies.
