Mac Recruit Group are representing a very reputable UK wide Energy & Waste Management company. Based in a suburb just outside of Bristol, the EC&I Technician will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and optimizing electrical systems, control systems, and instrumentation equipment critical to the operation of the facility.
EC&I Technician duties & responsibilities:
- Perform preventive, corrective, and reactive maintenance on electrical and instrumentation systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve faults in equipment such as motors, sensors, actuators, control panels, and PLC systems.
- Inspect and maintain safety-critical systems, including emergency shutdown systems and alarms.
- Monitor and update control systems, including PLCs, SCADA, and Distributed Control Systems (DCS).
- Ensure all instrumentation and control systems are accurate and reliable to optimize plant performance.
EC&I Technician requirements:
- Proven experience in electrical, control, and instrumentation maintenance within an industrial or process environment.
- Knowledge of PLCs, SCADA systems, and control loop tuning.
- Understanding of instrumentation principles, including calibration and fault finding.
- City & Guilds / NVQ 3 / HNC (or equivalent) in relevant Engineering discipline
