Your new companyHays are working with a not-for-profit based in central Bristol to support with the recruitment for a permanent IT support technician. The role is site based and offering a salary up to £28,000pa depending on experience. This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday working 37.5 hours per week. Your new roleWithin the role you will be the sole on site IT support technician for the organisation. You will be responsible for maintaining the organisations IT system, network & servers as well as supporting day to day 1st and 2nd line support for internal users across hardware / desktop and software support. You will work closely with the external IT managed service provider who will support you in the maintenance of the organisations IT services. You'll be involved in internal project based work as well as BAU day to day IT support. You'll support new starters and leavers within the organisation and promote best practice across IT. What you'll need to succeedTo be considered for this role you will need to have worked in a similar on site, IT support role previously, have broad experience across 1st and 2nd line support and have experience supporting system, servers & networks. Coming from a small internal team will be beneficial where your day to day is varied and your experience is broad. If you've had exposure working with a 3rd party MSP supplier that will also be beneficial. Knowledge of IT operating systems such as windows Server 2019 is essential as is knowledge of android/windows mobile devices, hardware & software and cloud based systems.
