The Position as an Assistant Town Planner:

  • Conduct research and analysis to support planning applications.
  • Manage and prepare planning applications, appeals, and policy representations.
  • Liaise with clients, local authorities, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project progression.
  • Provide expert planning advice tailored to client needs.
  • Stay updated on planning regulations and legislative changes.

Essential Criteria as an Assistant Town Planner:

  • Previous planning experience in a similar position
  • A degree accredited by the RTPI (or equivalent) in planning or a related field within the built environment
  • Strong problem-solving, research, and analytical skills
  • RTPI accreditation is desirable, with mentoring available to support the APC process
