Job Title: Senior Town Planner

Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a planning and architecture consultancy in Bristol who are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Town Planner to join a dynamic team in Bristol. The Role:

As a Senior Town Planner, you will be responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of planning applications and appeals, from residential and commercial developments to mixed-use schemes. You'll work closely with clients, local authorities, and stakeholders, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within regulatory frameworks.

Key responsibilities include:

Leading and managing planning applications, appeals, and planning policy submissions.
Providing strategic planning advice to clients across a variety of sectors.
Developing planning strategies and preparing high-quality reports, statements, and documents.
Engaging with local authorities, consultants, and stakeholders to secure planning consents.
Mentoring and supporting junior members of the planning team.
Assisting in business development activities and helping to grow the company's presence in the region.

What We're Looking For:

RTPI-accredited degree in Town Planning or a related discipline.
Extensive experience in a planning consultancy or local authority.
A track record of successfully delivering planning approvals across a range of sectors.
Strong project management and leadership skills.
Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
A proactive approach and a passion for problem-solving.
Full UK driving licence.
