The Role

The Town Planner will be responsible for managing and delivering planning projects across a variety of sectors. Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing and submitting planning applications and appeals
  • Conducting site appraisals, research, and feasibility studies
  • Drafting planning statements and policy documents
  • Engaging with local authorities, stakeholders, and communities
  • Keeping up to date with planning legislation and policy changes
  • Supporting senior colleagues on complex development projects


About You

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A degree in Town Planning or a related field
  • Experience working in a planning consultancy, local authority, or developer environment
  • A strong understanding of the UK planning system and relevant policies
  • Excellent communication and report-writing skills
  • The ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
  • A proactive and problem-solving approach
  • MRTPI qualification (or working towards it) is desirable
