I’m working on a new role in the corporate team of a well-established, Legal 100 national law firm, looking for someone who’s ready to take on a challenge with a view of running the Bristol department in the next 3-4 years. The firm is searching for an ambitious solicitor to join the team and eventually succeed the current Partner. You’ll be working alongside a talented partner and two other solicitors in a growing team. The role is a great fit for someone who’s either already at Legal Director level or close to it, with a desire to grow into a partner role and really make your mark on the practice. I’m looking for someone who’s got a strong grasp of corporate governance and corporate law in general, but most importantly, someone eager to take on new challenges. You don’t need to bring a huge network to the table – what’s important is your drive to grow your own practice and build relationships with local clients. If you’re moving from London, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a firm that’s on the up and offers a supportive, close-knit team environment. If you have Chinese language skills or experience working in the Chinese market, that would be a plus. The firm is growing its China practice and having that expertise would be a real asset as they expand into this exciting area. The corporate team has recently completed deals in excess of £90M, with a sweet spot of £5M-£25M. This is a firm with big ambitions. They’re looking to grow their corporate department into a multi-million-pound practice, with a clear plan for growth, and the chance for you to help drive that forward.
