Due to team growth and internal promotions, Reed have partnered with a national law firm, supporting with the hire of a Legal Assistant to join their team in Bristol on a full time, permanent basis.

35 hour working week, Monday – Friday (Between the operating hours of 8am and 6pm) with hybrid working on offer.

This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, well-organised individual who thrives in managing deadlines and maintaining accuracy. Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 dependent on experience (nearing top end if proven IP working experience) 

Duties:

  • Assist with the preparation of legal documentation, IP schedules, project estimates, and the legalisation of documents.
  • Handle change of owner, address, or name recordal formalities.
  • Engage in written and verbal communication with IP offices, foreign associates, and clients.
  • Support Legal fee earners with the delivery of client projects.
  • Manage incoming e-mail/post and respond as necessary.
  • Oversee diary management and preparation of client invoices.
  • Monitor and authorise incoming invoices when appropriate.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience in legal administration, particularly with IP formalities, is desirable but not essential.
  • Ability to handle and prioritise large volumes of data.
  • Capable of working under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • Excellent administrative, organisational, and IT skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both orally and in writing.
  • A proactive team player with a willingness to support others to achieve firm-wide goals.
