Are you an experienced professional in the Solar Operations and Maintenance industry looking for a leadership role at a dynamic and fast-growing company? We are seeking a Senior Portfolio Manager to oversee the management of multiple solar sites, ensuring the highest standards of performance, safety, and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the regional office teams in managing a portfolio of solar sites, ensuring corrective maintenance, testing, and remedial work on solar PV systems are carried out efficiently and reported promptly to clients.
  • Support the Operations Manager by facilitating the planning and execution of scheduled maintenance activities, ensuring contractual obligations are met, and overseeing the efficient delivery of services.
  • Guide and mentor Portfolio Managers and Associate Portfolio Managers, providing leadership and support to drive team success.
  • Manage work orders and digital platforms, coordinating with both internal teams and external contractors to ensure maintenance work is completed on time and within budget.
  • Optimise site performance by analysing data, identifying 'value-add’ projects, and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and planning requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Operations Manager to develop commercial strategies for continuous improvement of client relationships and the identification of additional services and projects.
  • Monitor KPIs and provide strategic insights to senior management for decision-making regarding site-specific O&M plans.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, working closely with the wider team to meet performance targets and deadlines.
  • Oversee security and CCTV management for sites, ensuring O&M contractual obligations are fulfilled.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Proven track record in Solar Operations and Maintenance, with experience managing sites from PAC to full O&M across multiple seasons.
  • Strong technical knowledge of power electronics, power generation technologies, and solar PV systems.
  • Excellent analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and CMMS software.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, and internal teams, with excellent customer service and negotiation skills.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and guide junior team members.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant experience in solar site management, including knowledge of H&S standards, service procurement, and efficient delivery of O&M activities.
  • Familiarity with power electronics and circuitry is highly desirable.

Location & Working Hours:

  • Bristol-based with frequent UK travel required. Hybrid working is available, with a minimum of three days in the office.
  • 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with flexible working options.

This role offers the opportunity to travel both within the UK and occasionally overseas, contributing to the development of solar portfolios and gaining experience in the international solar market. A valid driver's license is essential.
