Our Client are a privately owned national contractor operating in a wide range of sectors including commercial, retail, residential, leisure and healthcare. The South West Division have already secured their budgeted pipeline for the next two years and are thus looking for a number of experienced professionals to join their rapidly expanding team.
Options Resourcing have been retained to assist with the recruitment of a Senior Site Manager to work on projects in the Bristol area.
The successful candidate must have experience of working on student accommodation and/or high rise residential projects and be qualified to HND or Degree level and will play the pivotal role in the successful delivery of our client's projects; ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards through the effective management of direct site teams and the sub-contract chain.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day site operations, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
- Manage and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and site staff.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring milestones and deadlines are met.
- Work with the commercial stakeholders to monitor project budgets and control costs effectively.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure work meets design specifications and quality standards.
- Address and resolve issues or delays that may arise on-site.
- Lead and motivate site teams to achieve project objectives.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and promote a safe working environment.
- Maintain accurate site records and prepare reports as required.
Candidate Requirements;
- Proven experience as a Senior Site Manager in the construction industry, with a strong track record of student accommodation and/or high rise residential projects and internals packages
- Excellent knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and materials.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Proficient in project management tools and software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- In-depth understanding of health and safety regulations and their application on-site
- Relevant qualifications in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field.
