We are looking for an Assistant Marketing Manager for a Bristol based family business.

The role

This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to immerse themselves in a wide range of marketing activities. Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the Assistant Marketing Manager will be responsible for a range of Marketing activities to help promote the organisation across social media, email, search engines, advertisements, and the company website. This is an exciting role suited to someone with 3-4 years of experience who is up for a challenge and looking to grow within the marketing industry for a successful B2B company. In this role youll be part of a small marketing team, collaborating on various projects as well as plenty of your own projects to put your stamp on.

What will you be doing?

Website

  • Measure and analyse website performance using Google Analytics.
  • Create webpages through the companys website CMS.
  • Record and process enquiry data received via the website.
  • Monitor and continuously improve the SEO performance of the website.

Content

  • Write engaging, on-brand and SEO-friendly content for various channels, including the website, social media, email and brochures.
  • Manage a content marketing plan in line with the marketing plan.
  • Coordinate with technical members of staff to write technical product pages and brochures as well as regular blog posts and case studies for the website.

Social

  • Manage the companys social media platforms and monitor their performance to identify areas of improvement.
  • Create a social content plan to build and engage the companys social media audiences.
  • Build a GDPR-compliant subscriber base to send digital communications via email.

Reporting

  • Compile reports on digital activates as requested by the Marketing Manager.
  • Compile content marketing reports through the various digital channels

Other Responsibilities

  • Assist in the organising of events and conferences.
  • Keep abreast of competitor activity (promotions, marketing, messaging) and produce reports.
  • Arrange marketing meetings and minutes.
  • Comply with the Companys Health & Safety Policies.
  • Comply with all aspects of the company ISO 9001:2022 procedures, proactively contributing to the companys continuous improvement programme.
  • Some creation and editing of PDFs, photos and diagrams through Adobe programs such as InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop

Skills and Requirements:

  • 3-4 years of marketing experience
  • Knowledge of Marketing Principles
  • Strong skills in organisation, prioritisation and time management
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Strong communication skills
  • Degree-level qualification, preferably in a Marketing, Business or Communications field.
