Job Scope:

We are seeking an Occupational Therapist to join Catalyst Care Group’s expanding multidisciplinary team on a 9-12month maternity cover basis. This role focuses on promoting independent living through direct clinical care, including assessments, treatment planning, and management for individuals within the community.

The Occupational Therapist will develop and implement tailored treatment programs based on diagnoses and needs while collaborating with the MDT to monitor progress and report outcomes. You will manage a diverse caseload, providing assessments and interventions for individuals living with ill health, disabilities, or long-term conditions. Responsibilities also include liaising with stakeholders, contributing to policy development, and delivering training to clinicians in line with report recommendations.

Key duties involve conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and providing regular clinical supervision. You as an Occupational Therapist will participate in MDT meetings, represent individuals and the organization in external forums, and support transitions from secure settings to the community.

This maternity cover role requires traveling to various locations for assessments and a commitment to continuous professional development to ensure high-quality care.

Do you have?

  • A degree (or equivalent) e.g., BSc, MSc, or Diploma entry level qualification in Occupational Therapy
  • HCPC registration
  • OT experience mental health
  • At least two years of post-qualifying experience working as an Occupational Therapist
  • Experience at band 6/7 level
  • Understanding of positive behaviour support (PBS) and how the role contributes to this approach
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Experience of care planning for individuals and managing a case load in a range of settings working with people with disabilities and experience of multi-disciplinary/multi agency working
  • Knowledge of medical conditions, an understanding of the social model of disability, the ability to always maintain a professional manner and demonstrate anti discriminatory practice
