We are looking for an Accounts and Audit Senior - Charities and Not for Profit to join Haines Watts Western.

The Accounts and Audit Senior - Charities and Not for Profit, will work with our Charity and Not for Profit Manager.

About the Role

Haines Watts western has circa 90 employees based in Bristol and Exeter. Haines Watts is part of a larger organisation of approx. 50 offices across the UK. We are specialist advisors.

Haines Watts has a broad and diverse client base that ranges from start-ups to significant charities and NFP organisations. The team is friendly and inclusive, offering support and training and great progression opportunities.

Clients include charities, NGO's, grant makers, schools, membership organisations, professional bodies and registered social landlords.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and/or assist audits and accounts assignments from planning to completion
  • Produce work for manager and partner review
  • Work within budget
  • Act as the main point of contact for the client during the on-site and off-site fieldwork
  • Lead on-site teams
  • Supervise and develop junior members of staff
  • Work to deadlines
  • Get involved in proposals and presentations for new work
About you

  • ACA/ACCA qualified (or part qualified) or equivalent experience
  • Previous charity or NFP experience
  • Experience leading audits from planning to completion
  • Experience assisting on audits for the semi-senior role
  • Knowledge of SORP
