IT Procurement Consultant

Your new companyYou will be working with one of the UK's leading construction and engineering consultancy firms, with the opportunity to work on next-generation projects with some of the largest organisations in the country.Your new roleYou'll be joining the Procurement & Supply Chain team within the consultancy, supporting next-generation digital innovation for a variety of UK & European projects. In this role in particular, your aim will be on the Software, AI & Data categories, leading on the implementation of initial procurement strategy, sourcing, as well as contract negotiation and management for major public sector programmes. You'll focus on rapid acquisition and dynamic commercial activity, engaging with a variety of digital and senior stakeholders, running competitive tenders and procurement transformation.You'll be required to travel to the clients side once a week in Andover, working from home the rest of the week with occasional travel to the Bristol / London office.What you'll need to succeed

• Commercial procurement experience within indirect categories, ideally in a defence or public sector setting
• IT procurement experience would be desirable.
• Strong consulting skills (client engagement, stakeholder management, developing requirements)
• A background in consultancy is highly desirable.
• Active SC would be beneficial.
