Your new companyWe are currently working with a Public Sector organisation to help recruit two Procurement Managers to join their Strategic Procurement team. They help to deliver public services across the local area, making a positive impact on the community and lives of the residents. Your new roleReporting into the Head of Procurement, you'll be leading the organisation's approach to the procurement of goods, works & services efficiently within the complex regulatory environment of public sector procurement.The primary purpose of this role is to provide a strategic relationship with the senior management teams for each of the directorates in the provision of a procurement service. This will include working with managers and commissioning officers to ensure that all directorate level procurement activities are properly managed. One role will cover; Transport/ Fleet, Regeneration, Housing, Construction, Maintenance, Commercial Estate - and the other will cover: Adult& Children's Social Care, Education & Public HealthWhat you'll need to succeed
- A relevant degree or procurement & supply chain qualification (CIPS Level 6)
- A broad understanding of the public sector procurement and Public Contract Regulations 2015
- Working across the end-to-end procurement process
- Experience working closely with and advising Senior Leadership
- Experience in construction procurement is desirable
- Confident communication, stakeholder & supplier management skills
