Following the successful award of several new contracts in a short space of time, an internationally recognised engineering organisation seeks to employ a Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Bristol.
This permanent role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a close-knit office, where you will get the chance to be involved a wide variety of civil engineering projects in the rail, nuclear, highways and water industries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide a full range of Quantity Surveying duties from project inception through to completion.
- Prepare cost plans, estimates, Bills of Quantities, and tender documents.
- Deliver construction phase services including change management, contractor payment applications, forecasts, and final accounts.
- Prepare commercial reports for client use.
- Work collaboratively with other disciplines to provide an integrated approach to client delivery.
- Develop client relationships and provide an outstanding level of service delivery on a project basis, in conjunction with senior management.
Job Requirements:
- Experience in Quantity Surveying, particularly within civil engineering projects
- Proficiency in NEC contracts is essential.
- Ability to prepare detailed cost plans, estimates, and Bills of Quantities.
- Experience in handling contractor payment applications and final accounts.
- Strong commercial acumen and report writing skills.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Degree qualified in a relevant discipline.
- Able to mentor and develop junior staff members.
