Academics are working with a fantastic Secondary school in south Bristol who are urgently seeking a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join them from January.

The role of a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) is to support teachers by taking responsibility for planned learning activities under an agreed system of supervision. This involves tasks such as planning, preparing, and delivering learning activities for individuals or groups, as well as monitoring and assessing pupils' achievements, progress, and development, and reporting on them.

Someone with a HLTA qualification is desirable but not essential.

The ideal candidate should have over 3 months experience in a similar role where they covered and taught whole classes, covering teacher's PPA time and should have good knowledge of the national curriculum.
