A client within the Public Sector based in Bristol is currently recruiting for a Fire Safety Manager to join their team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full-time, temporary position on an ongoing basis, with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority within a fire safety and building safety environment.

The Role
Key purpose of the role is to ensure the safety of multi-occupied residential buildings, including Low-Rise Residential Buildings, High-Rise Residential Buildings, and Supported Housing for Older People.

Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
  • Lead the delivery of Fire Safety internal projects in line with Council policies.
  • Ensure the Council remains compliant with cyclical fire safety programmes.
  • Act as the strategic lead for Fire Safety, working with Avon Fire & Rescue Service.
  • Develop strong relationships with stakeholders and partners to support fire safety plans.
  • Provide strategic, operational, and technical direction on fire safety matters.
  • Oversee contract management for the Fire Risk Assessment contractor.

The Candidate
To be considered for this role, you will require:
  • Significant experience in fire safety management at a senior level in a social housing setting, with in-depth knowledge of regulations and British Standards.
  • A fire safety-related qualification (minimum Level 4) or equivalent.
  • Professional membership with IFE and/or IFSM, or equivalent.
The below skills would be beneficial for the role:
  • Experience managing and improving fire safety services.
  • Ability to lead, manage, and motivate teams effectively.
  • Strong project and budget management skills.

The client is looking to move quickly with this role and is offering 34 per hour Umbrella LTD Inside IR35 (approx. 27 per hour PAYE).
