Service Manager

Trojan Garage Equipment is a regional garage equipment company specialising in service, maintenance, repair and calibration of workshop equipment.

Established in 1991, our customers range from local independent garages, public sector organisations and commercial vehicle workshops

Established organization looking for a Service Manager to join the existing euthanistic management team to join in the expansion of product and service range.

This is a diverse role fundamentally being the linchpin between our customers and our team of engineers.

Do you have?

  • A friendly, outgoing, professional personality, with extensive knowledge and skills in the repair of Garage Equipment or the greater automotive / engineering industry.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to enable maximising the Performance of engineers, good communication skills both verbally and in writing, decision making and negotiation skills are essential.
  • Computer literate, with a sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Experience of Sage 50 desirable.
  • A high level of technical skills experience in the installation, repair and calibration of all types of mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic Equipment is desirable.
  • The ability to Lead by example and stamp your personality on this fantastic opportunity,
  • Previous experience in a supervisory role, preferably in a fast paced service environment would be advantageous.
  • Good understanding of Health and Safety regulations and requirements

Key Duties

  • Deal with incoming enquiries  
  • Maximise engineer efficiency for breakdowns, service, maintenance and calibration work
  • Manage our work order system, including the booking of new jobs, generating certification, updating customer records and generating invoices
  • Create quotations for repairs
  • Take responsibility for all technical aspects of the division Liaise with customers and ensure satisfaction
  • Stock management
  • Liaise with our suppliers on technical aspects, warranty systems and new products.
  • Keep the team up to date with new products, service procedures and calibration techniques
  • Ensure the team is appropriately trained and possess the appropriate skills and tools to do the assigned task’s allocated to them.
