This is an amazing opportunity to help change the lives of children and young people who are at risk. The Aspiring Outreach Worker role in Bristol will give you invaluable experience working with vulnerable students, increasing their engagement, attainment, and life chances.

As an Aspiring Outreach Worker, you will play a key role within the community, working alongside teachers and specialist staff to support students with special educational needs (SEN) and a range of associated social, emotional, and mental health challenges. Many of the children and young people you'll work with have suffered adverse childhood experiences, and you will be identifying their risks and needs, escalating issues when necessary.

Many of these children and young people face barriers like marginalization, trauma, dysfunctional family relationships, low educational attainment, and stigmatisation. As a result, they are more likely to encounter negative outcomes. You will provide consistency and equip these young people with the tools to feel safe, secure, empowered, and confident that they can succeed.

This role is ideal for Psychology, Sociology, and Criminology graduates looking for practical experience working with vulnerable, hard-to-reach students before pursuing a career in outreach or within non-profit organizations. It's also an excellent opportunity for aspiring Probation Officers, Prison Officers, and Youth Justice Workers. Living near Bristol is essential.
