We are looking for dedicated Support Workers to join a highly respected provider of supported accommodation for 16 to 25-year-olds in Bristol. This organisation is trusted by local authorities and has an outstanding success rate in helping young people transition into independent living.

About the Role:

As a Support Worker, you will provide essential guidance and support to young people who have left residential care, many of whom have experienced significant trauma. Some of the young people you work with may be at risk of exploitation, struggle with substance use, or display challenging behaviour. Many are also asylum-seeking children, requiring a sensitive and understanding approach.

Your role will involve:

  • Building trusting relationships with young people and acting as a positive role model.
  • Helping them develop life skills, confidence, and independence.
  • Managing challenging situations with empathy, patience, and de-escalation techniques.
  • Ensuring a safe and structured environment in line with safeguarding regulations.
  • Working on a 2 on, 4 off shift pattern, can including sleep-ins (£40 per sleep-in)
What We're Looking For:
  • Experience in care, social work, youth work, or a regulated environment is beneficial but not essential.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills - the ability to engage and build rapport is key.
  • Understanding of safeguarding, or a willingness to learn.
  • Resilience, patience, and a genuine desire to help young people thrive.
