Position: Casual Support Workers & Senior Support Workers
Location: Bristol
Hourly Rate: £12.00 - £18.75 per hour (depending on role and experience)
Contract: Flexible, Casual Basis
About the Role:
Elect Recruitment is seeking compassionate and reliable Support Workers and Senior Support Workers to join our team on a casual ad hoc basis. These roles offer flexibility and variety, making them ideal for individuals looking to work in a supportive and rewarding environment.
You will be responsible for providing person-centred care to individuals with diverse needs, helping them to live fulfilling and independent lives. Senior Support Workers will also take on leadership responsibilities, supporting and guiding team members to deliver high-quality care. All workers must be competent in medication administration to ensure the health and safety of those in their care.
Key Responsibilities:
For Support Workers:
- Provide high-quality care and support tailored to individual needs.
- Assist with daily activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication administration.
- Promote independence and well-being through person-centred care.
- Build positive relationships with individuals and their families.
For Senior Support Workers:
- Lead and supervise a team of support workers to ensure effective care delivery.
- Administer medication and oversee its safe handling in compliance with policies.
- Provide hands-on support and manage challenging situations calmly and effectively.
- Ensure care plans are implemented and regularly reviewed.
- Maintain accurate records and adhere to safeguarding procedures.
What Were Looking For:
- Qualifications: NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience in a similar role is essential for senior positions; experience in care is desirable for support roles.
- Competency: Proven ability to safely administer medication (certificates or training required).
- Skills: Empathy, patience, and a person-centred approach to care. Strong leadership and communication skills for senior roles.
- Compliance: Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to complete one).
- Flexibility: Ability to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
- Legal: Right to work in the UK.
