Tempting Recruitment are working alongside our client, a Local Authority, who are looking to recruit an experienced Permanent Social Worker to join their team based in Southwest of England JOB DETAILSPAY RATE: £40,221 - £47,420 (Dependent on experience)WORK TYPE: TemporaryWORK PATTERN: Full TimeLOCATION: Southwest of England JOB SUMMARYThe Social Worker to work within a Children and Families Team undertaking statutory duties for children and families in need or in need of protection JOB DESCRIPTIONThe duties and responsibilities of the role will include:

Providing essential support and intervention for families in CiN, CP and Court processes
Facilitating changes and implementing permanence plans when necessary
Collaborating with families to meet assessed needs and support safety planning
Working towards positive outcomes for children and families

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATEThe successful candidate will have the following skills and competencies:

Social Work Qualification
Current registration with Social Work England (SWE)
Completion of the Skills for Care ASYE Programme or equivalent demonstrationof professional capabilities if alternative route to social work (e.g. non-UK based initial year in practice) or pre-ASYE qualification
Experience working in Children's and families team
