1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant - Bedminster - ASAP Start

A welcoming primary school in Bedminster is seeking a dedicated 1:1SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about working with children who have Special Educational Needs.
In this role, you will support a Year 5 pupil 1:1, helping them navigate their learning and development. The school values its staff highly and provides a supportive and collaborative working environment. The pupil has recently begun reattending school after a period of time away, and the ideal candidate will help them to readjust to school life.
This role is currently part-time, with morning-only hours, offering the potential to evolve into a full-time 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant position in the future.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting children's behaviour and learning in the classroom.
- Assisting children with understanding teacher instructions.
- Working with individual learners 1:1 or small groups in the Learning Support department.
- Monitoring and recording pupil progress.
- Aiding in the reintegration of the pupil back into a traditional classroom environment
