We are seeking a dedicated and adaptable SEN Learning Support Assistant to join a primary school in Bristol (Brislington), to support a child with Special Educational Needs (SEN). If you have experience supporting children with ASD, ADHD, Non-Verbal needs, or other high needs, this could be the role for you!

About the Role:

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you'll work closely with children who have SEN, helping them to achieve their targets and supporting their development in a primary school setting. You'll need to be adaptable, empathetic, and committed to providing an inclusive environment for a child with ASD, ADHD, Non-Verbal needs, and more.

  • Support children with SEN in achieving their learning and developmental goals.
  • Foster an inclusive and supportive classroom environment.
  • Work closely with other teachers and professionals to create tailored learning plans.
  • Provide direct support to children with high needs, including those with ASD, ADHD, and Non-Verbal communication needs.

Key Requirements:

  • Maths and English at GCSE grade C or above
  • Experience supporting children with SEN.
  • A passion for working inclusively with children with additional needs, especially ASD, ADHD, and Non-Verbal.
  • A nurturing and patient approach to supporting children's unique needs.
  • DBS Check required (We can assist with this).
