If so, we may have the perfect role for you. Academics are currently recruiting on behalf of one of our client schools in Bristol (Bedminster) for a Learning Support Assistant or Teaching Assistant to support a child with additional social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs.
- Bristol, BS3 (Bedminster)
- Monday - Friday, mornings only
- 209 - 237 per week, depending on experience
- Mainstream Primary School
- Start ASAP
About the role
- Working with an individual learner in the classroom 1:1
- Supporting their behaviour for learning in the classroom.
- Helping them with their understanding of the teacher's instructions.
- Guiding them through the daily tasks in the classroom
- Keeping track and recording their progress.
You will need
- Enhanced DBS Check (We can assist with this)
- Graduate in a relevant field such as psychology or criminology OR a good education background (GCSE's in Maths and English) plus prior experience as an SEN Learning Support Assistant
- An interest in sports, to help connect with the child you will be working alongside
