I'm working on behalf of a brilliant special school situated in South Bristol that are looking for SEN Learning Support Assistants to join the team in either full-time or part-time capacities. Due to the school's size, they have a few different opportunities at the moment!
The school are well established in the area and are incredibly respected in Bristol. They look after students with a range of special needs but are primarily focused around Social, Emotional & Mental Health needs (SEMH).
The role
The role of LSA revolves heavily around supporting the class teacher, working alongside other permanent TA's at the school. There will be lots of general classroom support as well as working in many 1-1 situations.
Due to the needs of the students it is imperative that feel confident in managing challenging behaviour and that you are able to adapt easily to different class environments. In terms of experience, we are open to a range of different applications but ideally you would have worked in an SEN environment before.
