A SEN Provision Centre has grown to an additional 3 sites across Bristol. Their new centre is a BTEC centre, focusing onFurther Education in Construction for SEND pupils. They are looking for SEN Teaching Assistants to join their team in their new centre in Avonmouth. Experience in Construction and working with SEND students is essential however if you have transferable skills in working with students or coaching, these applications will be considered.

The right candidate MUST be able to drive as this position requires you to pick up and drop students off at school. If you don't drive, please don't apply for this role however if you do live in Avonmouth andhave experience in SEND and Construction,then your application may be considered.

Working hours are 9am - 3pm.

The needs in the provision are SEMH (Social, Emotional Mental Health) therefore experience with supporting this is essential.

You will be responsible for supporting students in the classroom and the teacher to support Contruction lessons. You will be working one to one with students and as the class sizes will be smaller, supporting the whole class too. This could be assisting with behaviour management, group activities and keep students on track with their work.

- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work well in a team
- Must be able to drive as picking up and dropping off pupils is required for this role
- A candidate who may have previously worked in construction and has experience working with young adults who may be looking for a career change

This provision will be looking to take the right person on a temp to perm basis meaning you would work through Zen Educate for 12 weeks and this will be your probation period. Once you have passed this, you will be offered a permanent contract with the provision. There is an opportunity for negotiation in salary.
