An excellent Primary school in Bristol is recruiting for a SEN Teaching Assistant - Behaviour Support (Mental Health TA) to join their team ASAP. This is an exciting opportunity for a graduate or experienced teaching assistant to develop their experience with Special Educational Needs. A graduate with a degree graded 2:2 or above is ideal for this role, and some previous experience working with SEN children is desirable.
The Role
- Working 1:1 with pupils with Special Needs and Challenging Behaviour
- Supporting children with mental health difficulties and learning disabilities such as Autism
- Promoting positive behaviour and supporting emotional well-being
- Gaining valuable experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant - Behaviour Support (Mental Health TA)
- Opportunity to gain experience in education and training while making a meaningful impact
What We're Looking For
- A SEN Teaching Assistant - Behaviour Support (Mental Health TA) with a passion for working with children
- Experience in youth work, support work, mental health, or SEN in sport
- Strong behaviour management skills
- Ideally, some form of restraint training
- A graduate or someone with experience working with children with additional needs
