An excellent Primary school in Bristol is recruiting for a SEN Teaching Assistant - Behaviour Support (Mental Health TA) to join their team ASAP. This is an exciting opportunity for a graduate or experienced teaching assistant to develop their experience with Special Educational Needs. A graduate with a degree graded 2:2 or above is ideal for this role, and some previous experience working with SEN children is desirable.

The Role

  • Working 1:1 with pupils with Special Needs and Challenging Behaviour
  • Supporting children with mental health difficulties and learning disabilities such as Autism
  • Promoting positive behaviour and supporting emotional well-being
  • Gaining valuable experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant - Behaviour Support (Mental Health TA)

What We're Looking For

  • A SEN Teaching Assistant - Behaviour Support (Mental Health TA) with a passion for working with children
  • Experience in youth work, support work, mental health, or SEN in sport
  • Strong behaviour management skills
  • Ideally, some form of restraint training
  • A graduate or someone with experience working with children with additional needs
