A friendly and welcoming school in the BS10 area of Bristol are currently looking for an SEN Teaching Assistant to join the KS2 team.
This 2 form entry school holds high standards towards inclusion and equality ensuring all pupils feel happy and safe in their learning environment. You will be joining a team of strong and supportive staff members dedicated to providing a curriculum that prepares children for their next stage.
The Role
Starting from November, you will be working as an SEN Teaching Assistant working on a 1 to 1 basis with a KS2 pupil who has ASD needs.
This is a full time position with the requirement of being flexible and enthusiastic to support this pupil to achieve educational goals.
The Head Teacher is looking for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant or someone with experience or knowledge of Special Educational Needs.
You will be expected to:

Previous experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant

Have a clear understanding of supporting children on a 1 to 1 basis.

Be adaptable and flexible

Work closely with Class Teachers and SENCOs.

Adapt lessons to meet the needs of children.
