Role Overview:

The successful candidate will support a child with an Educational Health and Care Plan (EHCP), working closely with the class teacher, SENCO and other SEN Teaching Assistants. The role involves implementing tailored strategies to support the child's academic, emotional, and social development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide 1:1 or small group support to a child with SEN.
  • Implement and monitor strategies from the child's EHCP.
  • Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and specialists.
  • Support the child's overall development and progress.
  • Attend education and training opportunities.
Requirements:
  • Experience working with children as a SEN Teaching Assistant, particularly Autism support, is desirable.
  • Compassionate, patient, and empathetic approach.
  • Interest in a career in education, therapy, or SEN support.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate with staff and parents.
