Here at ZEN:

We are looking for experienced KS2-4 SEN Teaching Assistants for long term and daily supply roles.

Zen Educate is a technology platform to connect teachers with schools directly.

BUT we don't sacrifice the personal relationship by going fully automated.

Agencies are an expensive middleman between schools and teachers. They have to charge high commissions because their booking procedures are largely manual and run on outdated systems

Because we run more of the process online or on your phone, we create an experience that delights schools and teachers at a fraction of the cost to schools.

We use tech to streamline processes without sacrificing the top level, personal service of a dedicted account manager

Job Description:

We are currently looking for people to take on long term work in special needs schools working with children with additional needs. This will be on either a full time or part time basis depending on what it is you are looking for. Working hours are 8:30-3:30 and term time only Monday to Friday.

Children being supported would be diagnosed with a range of needs such as autism, down syndrome, PMLD, SLD and cerebral palsy among others.

Requirements:

- To support vulnerable children with special needs on a 1:1 basis, helping them both with the academic and social development

- Work closely with other members of staff such as teachers, other TAs and members of senior leadership to ensure that children are making progress and their needs are being catered for

- Follow the educational healthcare plan that has been set out

- Manage behaviours where required with consistency, empathy and patience

- Be open to personal care or toileting help for children that require it

- Be flexible to the needs of the school and also be a reliable member of the team

- Hold an enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain a new one.
