Reed is working with a school based in the Mangotsfield area, who are seeking an Education Support Assistant to join them as an integral part of the pastoral provision, delivering targeted interventions to Key Stage 4 (KS4) students. This role is ideal for a proactive individual committed to fostering high standards and aspirations among young people.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Plan and deliver targeted interventions for KS4 students requiring additional support.
  • Mentor students and support them in working independently on core subjects.
  • Accompany students to off-site activities as needed.
  • Maintain high expectations and help students identify their personal aspirations.
  • Collaborate with parents, outside agencies, and students to support educational progress.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience working with young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
  • Good standard of education, including proficiency in English and Maths.
  • Up-to-date knowledge and commitment to recent training in SEND interventions, literacy, or numeracy.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Compassion, patience, and confidence to work with secondary students.
  • SEND-specific qualifications are desirable.
