We specialise in resourcing and deploying Suitably Qualified and Experienced Personnel (SQEP) to meet the dynamic needs of Defence and public service projects.


We are now seeking a highly experiencedDefence Resource Managerto join our team and play a pivotal role in shaping our consulting talent pipeline, with a focus on the Defence sector.


You will be instrumental in sourcing, assessing, and presenting top-tier talent to support RT Consultings Defence projects. You will work closely with our Resourcing and Delivery teams to build a robust network ofpermanent and associate consultants, aligned with our strategic growth plans.


This role requires a deep understanding of theDefence landscape, with a focus on engagingService Leaversand helping themtransitioninto industry roles that leverage their skills and experiences. The role also offers ahybrid workingpattern.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Talent Strategy & Engagement:Develop and implement resourcing strategies to attract and retain SQEP consultants in the Defence sector.
  • Pipeline Building:Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified consultants to meet current and future demand.
  • Veteran Community Engagement:Build trust and awareness across the Service Leaver community (including Military and Blue Light Veterans), developing veteran transition processes and supporting translation of military experience into civilian roles.
  • Campaign & Event Management:Create and lead effective recruitment campaigns, attend Defence sector career fairs, and network within the community.
  • Compliance & Systems Management:Ensure compliance with Defence regulatory standards and maintain up-to-date records in the CRM system.


Skills & Experience:

  • Defence Sector Expertise: Significant experience within the MOD, either in a serving or civil service role Essential
  • Defence Knowledge: Strong familiarity with Defence sector trends, Military hierarchy, including Services, Trade Groups, Cap Badges, and Rank Structure Essential
  • Organisational Skills: Exceptional ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment -Essential
  • Recruitment Strategy: Proven track record in developing and executing recruitment strategies within the Defence sector Desired
  • Consulting Background: Experience in managing resourcing solutions within a consulting environment -Desired
  • Presentation Skills: Skilled in presenting to large groups and engaging with high-level stakeholders -Desired
  • A similar resourcing background is desired but not essential
