Our client, a National Tier 1 MEP Contractor, is looking to source a Commissioning Manager. Initially to oversee a 60 million scheme in the Centre of Bristol, with the view of moving into a Regional role after. Great opportunity to join a business with a great portfolio of work in the Region. Open to either Mechanical or Electrical discipline.
Key Accountabilities:
- Lead the commissioning management team, ensuring the successful delivery of projects and meeting or exceeding client expectations.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, and colleagues, to promote our clients interests and identify new opportunities for growth.
- Contribute to the development of excellent practices and processes for the operation of the business, driving continuous improvement and innovation.
- Manage multiple projects concurrently, prioritizing tasks and allocating resources effectively to meet project objectives.
- Support the ProjectDirector in bidding for new opportunities, providing technical and schedule input to the bid document, and presenting at post-tender interviews.
- Produce regular reports to the Senior Management Team (SMT) detailing key project risks, potential opportunities to increase project margins, and accurate project progress reporting.
Requirements:
- Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- Minimum 8 years' experience in commissioning management, preferably in a leadership role.
- Strong understanding of commissioning principles, methods, and best practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, prioritizing tasks and allocating resources effectively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations and standards.
